A Fairfax County police officer shot and wounded a man outside of his home in Burke, Virginia, early Monday morning, according to police.
Police say the shooting happened at 1 a.m. Monday morning on the 9700 block of Church Way in a neighborhood off of Lee Chapel Road.
The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
It is not immediately known what led to the shooting.
