Teen shot near Waterfront Metro station in DC

A teenage boy was shot near the Waterfront Metro station Saturday night, according to D.C. police.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of M Street in Southwest D.C. When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound.

Metro told people to stay away from the area as police arrived on the scene.

He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

Police are investigating the incident.
