A man was found dead from an apparent shooting Thursday afternoon in Landover, Maryland.
Prince George’s County Police were called to the 6900 block of Stoddert Lane about 4:40 p.m. for the report of a shooting.
Witnesses told police they heard several shots fired and people screaming.
Officers arrived to find the victim had already died on the scene. No other information about the victim was immediately available. It’s not yet known whether he was found outside or inside.
No suspect is in custody.
According to preliminary information, detectives don’t believe this was a random crime. They were working to establish a suspect and a motive in the case, police said about 5:40 p.m.
